Ifaz Kabir is an economist and a former researcher at the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), Bangladesh’s leading policy think tank, where he served as Programme Associate after joining as a Research Intern. His research spanned macroeconomic and fiscal policy — national budget analyses, debt sustainability, mega-project cost assessment — and, directly relevant to this firm, a co-authored CPD study on property taxation in Bangladesh, examining its revenue potential and efficiency. He co-authored a Routledge book chapter on development effectiveness with CPD senior fellows, and his op-eds and economic analyses have appeared in The Daily Star and The Financial Express. He holds a BSc in Economics from BRAC University with a minor in Business Administration focused on corporate finance.
